Goop, L'Oréal Paris and Rhode are 2024 Glossy Beauty Awards finalists (2024)

The 2024 Glossy Beauty Awards showcase leaders in this incredibly competitive industry, particularly those meeting consumers’ desire for accessible luxury, clean beauty, and personalized and tech-driven experiences.

Accessible luxury and clean beauty are at the heart of good.clean.goop, a diffusion line that earned Goop a nomination for Best Brand or Sub-Brand Launch Campaign. Items are priced between $14.99-$29.99 and distributed through major retailers including Target and Amazon. In support of the launch in October 2023, the campaign leveraged innovative tactics to drive awareness and sales — including mobile billboards, direct mail campaigns, in-store sampling and experiential customer-led events — while maintaining consistent messaging. The line’s accessibility reinforces Goop’s reputation for delivering luxury-quality products that are both effective and ethical while marking a significant step in the evolution of clean beauty.

L’Oréal Paris earned a nomination in the Best Use of Emerging Technology category for Beauty Genius, a virtual beauty assistant providing consumers with instant, personalized beauty advice. Powered by generative AI and supported by advanced tools including predictive AI, augmented reality, computer vision and color science, Beauty Genius analyzes data ranging from user-provided information to high-tech selfies to assess more than 10 skin parameters. Beauty Genius, which is free via the L’Oréal Paris website, offers a user-friendly and accessible interface, including for those relying on screen readers or needing enhanced color contrast.

In the new Skin-Care Brand of the Year category, the finalists include Hailey Bieber’s Rhode. Since its launch in 2022, Rhode has established itself as a trailblazer in the skin-care and beauty industry, driven by its founder’s vision of curated, high-performance essentials. This year, Rhode’s notable product launches included Pocket Blush, a cream blush infused with hydrating peptides and tamanu oil, and the Lip Case, which is designed to hold the brand’s Peptide Lip Treatments and Tint. Pocket Blush sold 34 units per second in its first hour and drew more than 6,000 visitors to its New York City pop-up. The Lip Case, meanwhile, sold out in minutes and garnered more than 300,000 waitlist sign-ups.
