I have had hot head burrito 3 times. The only time it wasn’t cold and good was the first time I ate there. I will no longer order from there. I’m tired of getting cold foodThey use to be my favorite.Oh and I called the manager and he was very rude!! And he got mad at me for calling about my food being cold.
Absolutely delicious! This was our first visit here so we werent sure how it worked. We both got burritos and the ordering process was helpful and easy. The result was a burrito that was fantastic. We were concerned going in that the food might be too spicy for us. Although they do offer very spicy food, you can also get a very mild, very tasty burrito with lots of good things inside. I highly recommend Hot Head.
Wow !! Your Mod Kaya c is a loose cannon ! Very rare and unexpected altercation with her today . I’ve already talked with Corporate about the details of the situation . If you don’t like your job don’t take it out on the customers. Apparently she thinks she can trespass customers if they call them out on their attitude
Delicious as always. I rarely get over to eat there, but get excited when I can because they have yet to disappoint me. Got to have a conversation with the regional manager today, great guy and very hands on, smiled as he made my burrito perfectly, even helped pick the perfect combination of ingredients to make this the best Ive had. I wish there was a way I could brag on this man and this restaurant more and get everyone to try this restaurant. If you are on the fence about trying here, do it.
Used to come here once to twice a week but since new manager Karen has showed up I’ve come less and less.Very rude and unpersonable. Also doesn’t like to answer questions or is very rude when you ask for more added to your bowl/burrito.always seems in a rush and never wants to allow customers to take their time to chose their food and ask questions.Food is always fresh and good though! Main reason my family and I continue to come back.
Excellent. First visit on 9 mile Rd. The young man preparing our order was very patient with us and gave a great first impression of the restaurant. All the staff on Labor Day provided awesome, thorough customer service. We ordered burritos and nachos, and they were all delicious. Looking forward to the next visit.
I was greeted by a chipper guy who was very patient, since our was my first time and I dont eat meat, to go over all the veggie options. Everything was fresh and 2 different size bowls are available for any size appetite. Cory, who I later found out is the GM, working the line and being patient and serving hot fresh house made options! LOVED IT!!!!
Was very good, 1st time here, worker was excellent at explaining choices. Only reason I didnt give a 5 star was i had a bowl. It was same price as burritos. I feel it should be a little cheaper since it is without the tortilla. Had the chicken, it was very tasty. Lots of sauce choices, could use a bit more sauce with the bowls. I will go back again.
Both the food and environment make it look like this place is chasing after Moes business. Which is fine. Just was my first impression. I like Moes. And I like options. Unfortunately, the portion size (as compared to Moes) was smaller (I had a nacho plate).I recognize that Im measuring my satisfaction for a burrito place based off the nachos--but, hey, thats what I got. There was also no courtesy chip bowl. Which was also kind of a downer, considering the cost. But the staff was nice/friendly/helpful. And their two hottest sauces were wonderful. So its a 3/5 Id eat there again from me. :)
Staff was to busy on there phones didnt have food we was requesting to be put on out burritos. The food they did have was so cold that it didnt even melt the cheese at all. The chips was stale. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Paid 30.00 for cold food this horrible. Then the store was nasty. Not clean at all. Watched the staff leave people waiting in line to go check there phones come back and not change there gloves. Yeah we wont be back.
On 04/22/2021 I entered the establishment without a face mask and was quickly asked to leave. Understandably I set curbside looking through the menu. The next group of customers two females two children entered also without face mask. The employee that asked me to leave went towards the kitchen ,and retrieve face mask for the females. They were of the same nationality. While driving off at a glance I observed the children running through the store unattended and without face mask. This was very upsetting and disturbing to me to say the least.
Rude staff tonight. Always eat here. Wont be back until the staffs treatment of customers changes back to what it was. Threw a mask at me and snapped at me about it. As I was putting mine on. There is no mask mandate for this location in the city or the state. Rude 20 something female. Dont even bother with the same response youve given the others about passing it on to the owner because obviously you arent. Youre on the wrong side of history. This is also the first time Ive ever seen this place completely empty. After tonight I know why. Look at the recent reviews of customer service. Youre loosing business because of your employees actions. And this is a recent position you have chosen to take. Crazy considering Chipolte just opened up down the street. Your loss.
The food is great and very worth the trip. But the service from some arent very good. The manager Karen has some issues regarding her people skills. She embarrassed her employees in front of the customers and she has a very condescending tone when serving others. She also show faces of confusion when people ask questions and answers with a very patronizing voice.
Service was ok... almost a little flirty and unprofessional. I cant fault them on food though. Great flavor and a decent amount of options to choose from. Price is borderline overpriced but the taste was a redeeming quality. Id like to see more daily dealoptions. Would reccomend this location to anyone in the area looking for great food. Staff is friendly though some could use a lesson in restraint and professionalism.
I thought that Hot Head burritos would be just like Moes but I was wrong. The burrito was bigger, less chips, spicier salsa. It was great. The best part was the jalapeno cheddar tortilla. It added flavor to every bite.A little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. $12 for the meal.
Traveling through from Alabama on our way to Destin. My family and I stopped in for lunch. Store was close to highway and was very clean, Food was delicious. I had the burrito it probably weighed 2 pounds. Staff was very helpful and recommend some great sauces for our food. Will be stopping back in on our way home next week.
When I walked in I was greeted by one employee behind the line but that was the only experience I would rate as good with this visit. The woman that was making my 3 burritos looked like she could have been a manager but also like she wanted to be anywhere but there. Rude and quick without so much as a smile. The selections in the bar were limited compared to a Moes or something of the likes. Then when I went to check out it didnt come with chips or slasa. I asked how many a bag of chips would feed and the bothered employee pulled out a bag that may have had 8 chips in it. It was $2.50 and cheese was $2.50 as well as salsa. I opted out even though I really enjoy chips with my burritos. Then I looked all over for a sauce bar to get a side and there was none. Overall I overpaid for my subpar food to get terrible service. Will not be back. There are many more restaurants around that establishment. Surprised they stay in business at all but for the price they probably dont have to have a huge crowd to keep the lights on.
The only reason why I am giving this place a one is because it isnt possible to give a zero. We arrived at around 6pm on a Friday night and there were no customers in the store. We werent greeted, the make worked watched us come in, kept his back yo us and then disappeared into the back. Another female worker came out and was pleasant and friendly. Not once did the make worker come out to help her since we were a party of five until she finally asked him to help wrap the burritos. The ingredients were almost out (black beans , chicken, grilled veggies) and the guacamole was completely out. They didnt have any in the back either. Due to the lack of help with the prep and the fact she left the burritos open and unwrapped until the last minute my burrito was bone cold. It felt like I just pulled it out of the fridge to reheat the next day. While the female worker was nice and friendly the customer service sucked. The food was disgusting. So save your money, drive a little bit longer and go to Moes and get excellent customer service and hot food.
Smelled a little funky when we went in. Wasnt super impressed with the food - seems to be a Chipotle knock off. They burned my quesadilla and still served it to me. Staff could have been a little more helpful. They werent rude, but could have offered a bit more guidance since it was our first time there.Probably wouldnt go back.
Low starch alternative Cali-Mex served in-line like Subway. Instead of flour tortillas, the meat and veggies are served in a bowl. Portions are generous. Food is fresh, and not bad, but uninspired. Prices only slightly higher than average. Good fast food for low starch dieters when you have to eat out.
Okay, so Im gonna start off by saying that this was my first time eating HotHeads, but my fiance loves it. My fiance & I came in 30 mins from closing, as they were cleaning their prep aread. We were helped by Kali & she is by far the sweetest person Ive encountered in customer service. Being a server & in customer service myself, I know what its like to have customers come in as youre closing, & I try to avoid it at all costs. She not once made us feel like we were a burden or an inconvenience. She helped me find what I would like & offered multiple different additions. She also got me signed up for the rewards, so needless to say I will be returning! Kudos to Kali, shes a bomb employee. 😊😊😊
This would be 5 stars across the board if it werent for the douche that runs this place. Im a regular, I order here at least 2x a week, but this guy is sending me back to Moes. All he does is talk down to his staff, barking orders like Take care of my customer while he flirts with his cashier and screws around on his phone. The young people who work here are awesome, and they deserve better than a manager who shows up wearing jeans and a wife beater (while behind the counter) and talks to them like theyre trash.
The food AND customer service is incredible! We ordered via Door Dash & received an incorrect burrito. I called, spoke with Chris, and he sent me out a new burrito & coupons via Door Dash again. He went above and beyond to remedy our problem. I will be telling all my friends about Hot Head Burritos.
What an average place for burritos. Ive been here a couple times to try them out on different occasions, and every time is a disappointment. The food is often just blah. The meat seems room temperature most of the time. Overall I dont feel like you get a good value for your money.
Came in with the kids to get a burrito after seeing a advertisem*nt online. The cashier girl, Zarya, was working with long hair down and we saw her changing into a T-shirt in the “kitchen”. She was wearing a very small camisole and tights. She dropped so many f bombs in such a small amount of time. I thought she was here alone until the regional manager, Chris, came up and greeted us. The exchange was rather awkward between trying to up sell us and then being so distracted by a half naked girl working there. I couldn’t even manage to eat the food at the thought of her hair in it. Gross and unprofessional especially for a $15 burrito. This environment is not family friendly.
This was our first time coming here. The guy helping us was more than helpful and pleasant. Ive ate Chipotle and Moes. Moes was my go to. These guys arent even in the same league as Chipotle or Moes, i dont know if they are playing the same game. Hot Heads was so awesome, theyve ruined Moes for me. Only thing that sucks is there isnt a location in Mobile. Yall need to expand. Mobile needs their taste buds shaken up.
Great flavor done fast. Super friendly staff. The shift leader I think his name is Quan. Greets you with a smile everytime you come in and really seems like he enjoys his job. I could not decide what I wanted so I asked him to surprise me. He built me an awesome burrito along with great personality and engaging conversation. I would definitely recommend giving hot Heads for the food and the hospitality.
Dirty.rude.out of 5 menu items cut. this messy soggy cold burrito with a fork because theyre out of knives 2. you might want to get water cuz some of the soft drinks are out the employees go behind each others backs talking about each. And how the manager doesnt take care of the restaurant and doesnt care what they do which was obvious when the girl pulled her cell phone out of her pocket while making my food with her gloves on then as she prepared my husbands food she reached over too far for herself and her dirty apron laid on top of his burrito if you want to eat here youd be better off letting 2 jerk kids that just got done playing outside grab whatever they want out of your refrigerator and throw it into a burrito and rub their faces while doing so this was by far the worst place in Pensacola I have at. I wasnt as worried about their attitudes because they werent bad they were just the I dont care attitude and that was very obvious I was more worried about the filth being put on to my burrito and the personal hygiene that they had was not making it any better
Hot head has excellent food. Especially if you like spicy hot food. Their straight habbinaro sauce is great. Of course you dont have o make it hot. Service is always just as good. And food is ay better than Chipotles. Ive read some of theother reviews and Im not sure what happened to them but Ive been to the oneon 9mile Rd. Many times and have never been disapointed about anything.
Decided to visit finally and dont regret it. I wont say its perfect but I know it has to be hard with the competition in the area. If youre looking for a crazy cheesy quesadilla then this is your place. I dont think corporate is probably the best thing for this type of place though. It seems like they probably manage the recipes and ingredients and there are certainly things Id recommend for a change. The quesadilla was good but honestly, it was lacking a zesty cheese or some kind of variation from a full on cheese and salty meet flavor. (we had barbacoa in it).I also ordered some tacos, which were good but laying 3 soft shells in a to go platter then topping them all flat and mixed together was not good. The outside of a taco shell is the handle. It shouldnt be covered in other taco toppings that were next to it. Oh, the other complaint I had was the steak taco was so disgusting. The steak was not edible. Im not exagaratting, I could chew through it. Tasted pre-made and cold! We, ll be back but we will stick with the classics.
Decided to try Hotheads as an alternative to Moes, really about the same . Concept-wise, they are identical, essentially this is the Subway version of a burrito joint. Its not bad , however the ingredients are designed around local palates and this area is not know for Mexican food done right. There are some unique hidden gems that serve the real deal. Thats not to say the food wasnt good , it was fairly average and the selection of ingredients was pretty good. On this visit the A/C was out so interior comfort was non-existent. As with most of these places in a strip mall that pay $5000 per month rent along with all of the other government imposed fees, permits, regulations you wont be able to escape a meal under $10 to $11. I highly recommend Taco Rock or the Mexican Market (Carneceria ) at 9 mile and 29.
Cold Mexican food is not appetizing at all. And calling it Mexican is a stretch. One employee was tweaking on crank and making burritoes. If thats the kind of romantic ambiance your looking for, help yourself. Hip hop music too! Emanating from the speakers!!! Id rather have the corneas scraped of my eyeballs than ever eat here again.
Omg, omg, the best freaking burrrito ive ever had IN MY LIFE!! the woman who made my burrito had some amazing suggestions. she really knocked this out of the park, from the jalapeno ranch to the help she offered on how to properly eat my burrito. GRAB + PEEL =EAT I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK
What a trainwreck of a place, they were out of basic things needed to make their burrito and really slow considering my family were the only people in the place. Our burritos were ice cold and the staff proceeded to sit in the lobby after we got our food instead of getting things ready for whom ever is unlucky enough order next.
Serving rice burritos with bits of meat since 2015. As much as I ridicule Chitpotle for their facile virtue signaling (with added food pathogens!), I almost wish that a Chitpotles would open here so people who have never been to one would realize just how badly Moes sucks. And Hot Head is several orders of magnitude below Moes, as hard as that is to believe. Soupy, huge, and filled with rice (we see what you did there, Hot Head...were not retarded), these things are impossible to eat as actual burritos, in the classical sense. Burrito bowls? LOLz! Thats so much nonsense that I now expect Papa Johns to innovate a pizza smoothie. Pfft.
This mine and my dads Friday lunch every week. Love this place. Good quick food and get a whole meal in one burrito.
