Healing through facilitating Self Awareness and informed choice in a Social Context

The important but missing information in making informed decisions lies in the top down perspective given here highlighting imposing sanctions by these corporate entities on communities WITHOUT consideration of corporate misdeeds in the economic mess they now face, while obscuring their corporate profits and the limited pay given employees, the hours needed in the local area that constitutes a living wage and management of all those employed from the top down. I hypothesize that as employees descend in rank so does any chance of equal and fair treatment. This reporting instead creates and maintains FEAR which disempowers consumers and employees alike, effectively silencing objections in making effective decisions for themselves, their families and their communities. It places them in the victim role at the hands of forces they feel disempowered to stand against! #trauma #misinformation #blamethevictim #truthmatters #holisticwellness #masshysteria #society #economics #hierarchy

With all the discussion of late about declining trust in institutions, especially government, a really important consideration is the difference between wholesale and retail trust. “Wholesale trust” strike at the broadest social and political questions and over which individual officials—even presidents and prime ministers—often have little control due to the political environment, wider trust in institutions. But there’s also the concept of “retail trust,” concerning the direct relationships between individuals and the government programs that serve them. Here we have seen plenty of examples of how governments can improve retail trust.Check out our new book, Bridgebuilders, to learn more. Don Kettl khttps://lnkd.in/gM-dx5JW

We want a future where workers are not just sustained, but thriving. This John Oliver report illustrates what many have known for years, the dollar stores have a long way to go... especially Dollar Bucket <watch the video to learn more>. A little bit of historical context is helpful: After 40+ years of losing union representation, minimum wage protections and stagnation in real wages, the pendulum is shifting. Workers rights advocacy efforts are notching win after win and business and political leaders need to prepare for a future where the balance of power between labor and corporate executives is restored.United Church Funds Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) Economic Policy Institute https://lnkd.in/eah4c2ED

Many factors impact consumer spending, including inflation, job insecurity, and the debt ceiling negotiation. Our financial system and government must prioritize the middle class to drive the economy. Supply-side economics has proven to drive up our national debt. When things get ugly, the middle class is targeted to jump-start the economy—a healthy middle-class benefits everyone by managing demand. Corporate profits rise, and government debt falls. #job #economics #economy #middleclass #taxes #nationaldebt #corporateprofits

Stress by supply chain issues and not sure if that affected us in this side of world. "Forced labor & child labor" as COVID we have new ways of shopping experiences. It was interesting to look into the law define. Did you know where are your materials or good originally coming from? How far along you know entire process? If that coming down to US government, there surely will endless forms for you to fill them out. It was really interesting as we are slowly moving into international market. We surely need to look into the law and regulations. It feels like FBI interviewing. #supplychain #childlabor

#BuyIntoRetailIn January we set out the power of the “Everywhere Economy” in our Retail Manifesto. As part of this, we at the British Retail Consortium are launching the next phase of our election strategy: ‘#BuyIntoRetail’. We are calling on the government to implement pro-growth policies which support retail’s vision for Net Zero♻️, a digitally transformed industry providing higher skilled, better paid jobs📈 and the best shopping experiences for customers🛍️.Retail is everywhere. Its impact stretches to every corner of the country. In 2023 it contributed £91.873bn to GVA UK, and the industry employs almost 20% of the UK workforce, directly and indirectly. Our scale, reach and representation of people from all over the UK means we should be at the forefront of the conversations that matter. We know this, and we need our government to recognise this too.The BRC’s role as an industry body is to bring a collective voice to the political table, and with the upcoming election, we need to make sure our industry is accounted for in policy changes. But as an industry we all have a part to play in getting the next government to #BuyIntoRetail. Our member involvement in this campaign will be key to its success and there are many ways, big and small, to get involved📣. Please get in touch with us if you want to discuss ideas on how we can ensure retail is at the forefront of debates and is a key focus of the next administration.Read all this and more in a recent article CEO, Helen Dickinson, wrote for Retail Week. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eiEswaC2 #Retail #UKElection #BritishRetailConsortium #EverywhereEconomy

On RNZ this week with Kathryn Ryan I discussed the Government's moves in commerce and consumer affairs. It introduced market studies and changed the Commerce Act and the misuse of market power provision. The Government criminalised cartel conduct, brought retail payments under the Commerce Commission, introduced a commissioner for supermarkets, and made unpopular changes to the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act.#competition
